Fish feed production in Namibia

Can Namibia produce a fresh-water fish feed ?
The answer is yes !!!

Namibia has all the raw material that a good fish feed must contain. Among them, the most important are: Mahangu, wheat, fish meal/oil etc.
The problem that is related to the production of the fish feed is the formula, which should give the right contents of amino acids, minerals and vitamin.

Recently a study made in an Italian University, has demonstrate that the Namibian raw material and the formula that has been prepared are better than the competitive South African Formula as fare as 35% and the production cost are half of the S.A. one.

The Namibian formula have a better Feed Conversion Rate (FCR) that result in reduction of the feed cost, which represent 50% of the whole cost of a fresh-water farm.
